Compressor Mechanic

Overview

The Mechanic is responsible for carrying out advanced mechanical inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment.

• Conduct inspections of pumps, compressors, and engines to identify faults and perform preventative repairs.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on natural gas compressors and engines, ensuring all work is properly documented.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a range of equipment, including pumps, gas compressors, engines, hoses, seals, and auxiliary systems.
• Perform heavy mechanical maintenance, including removal and replacement of motors, engines, reciprocating compressors, screw compressors, and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts, consumables, and critical maintenance components.
• Support non-routine repairs and maintenance of additional mechanical equipment as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures at all times.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in oil & gas operations, with a focus on mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Proven experience working as a field mechanic in operational environments.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Physically capable of climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying (up to 30 lbs), and performing manual tasks such as bending, crouching, crawling, and squatting.
• Willingness to be on-call 24/7 as operational needs require.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• MUST HAVE UAE DRIVERS LICENSE
