Role Overview

The role holder is responsible for the installation of elevators and escalators at client sites, following defined installation and workplace safety procedures and adhering to business policies.

• Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders to confirm completion and assess any damage.
• Prepare checklists for incorrect, short, or damaged materials for replacement procurement.
• Liaise with building contractors and site representatives for civil works coordination and installation schedules.
• Inspect lift shaft vertical alignment, shafts, door openings, pit escalators against shop drawings.
• Install machine room equipment, hoist way, pit, hall equipment, rails, and doors per shop drawings.
• Submit installation checklist to the Team Lead – Installations after completion.
• Clear pit of debris collected during installation.
• Restrict access to the work site and machine room per Otis safety guidelines.
• Report site, product, and operational discrepancies to the Team Lead – Installations.
• Define performance goals in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure achievement.
• Identify training and development requirements and arrange attendance.
• Strive to achieve highest proficiency in all required competencies and skills.
• Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in installation operations in the vertical transportation industry.
• At least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Ability to convey or exchange basic information in routine ways to audiences knowledgeable about the subject matter.
• Primarily field work based outside the office.
