Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair complex air conditioning systems in bus fleets ensuring optimal climate control and passenger comfort. Perform routine maintenance including filter replacements and system checks to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within AC units utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics. Install new AC systems and components in buses according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in HVAC or automotive technology preferred. Possession of EPA Section 609 certification for refrigerant handling is essential. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience specifically with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle AC systems. Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of AC system faults, both electrical and mechanical.
