Electrician II

JOB PURPOSE

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures

• Preventive Maintenance:
  Complete all planned and scheduled maintenance is completed to avoid potential damages
• Inspect regularly electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Electrical breakdowns:
  Attend all breakdowns of machinery as a matter of urgency with minimum time spent
• Have all damaged or scheduled parts fixed or ready to be used whenever required
• Proper electrical circuits maintenance:
  Wire all cablings properly to run the full plant and its equipment safely and efficiently
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
• Maintain the daily log-book:
  Maintain detailed records for all repairs and breakdowns for proper documentation and follow-up

• Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
• Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks
• Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents
• Maintain assigned tools, equipment and machinery in good working order
• Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations

  Production and Stores Departments
• External: N/A

• Electrical Diploma or Technical Degree
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in an industrial environment with electrical expertise
• Knowledge of plant and production equipment
• Knowledge of control panel assembly and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of motor maintenance (dismantles, identify failure modes, etc)
• Knowledge of all electrical components and their function (electro-valves, motors, sensors, etc)
• Ability to maintain all electrical components (CNC, PLC, electro-valves, sensors, switches, etc)
• Knowledge of wiring & cabling procedures following the international and local standards and codifications
• Knowledge of crane repairs
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Ability to use all electrical tools (handling sets, multi-meters, solders, crimping tools, electrical drills and light jackhammers, etc)

• Proactive initiatives: take collective measures to improve the production efficiency
• Perform well under pressure
• Can react swiftly in case of an emergency
• Good team player
• Ability to read and understand English
