Handyman, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Building Maintenance

About the Role

We are currently hiring for a skilled Handyman to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on both residential and commercial properties. Your main duties will include fixing and repairing appliances, plumbing systems, electrical systems and general building maintenance.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work and carpentry.
• Inspect properties and identify any issues or necessary repairs.
• Repair appliances such as refrigerators, stoves and washing machines.
• Fix plumbing issues such as leaks or clogged drains.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Conduct general building maintenance including cleaning, changing light bulbs and replacing filters.
• Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies when needed.
• Respond to emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical work and carpentry skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good time management skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

This position is located in Abu Dhabi.

Full time employment is available.

Preference is given to Canadian citizens. English fluency is required.
