Job Purpose
Responsible in performing elementary work, and maintenance tasks on aircraft avionics systems and components in accordance with the approved maintenance program and using technical data including, technical manuals and drawings. Tasks include assisting LAE in scheduled / unscheduled maintenance including line / base maintenance checks, removal / installation of avionics system components, carrying out troubleshooting and defect rectification of aircraft systems, modifications, etc under the supervision of the LAE.
Responsibilities- Assist to test and troubleshoot aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, using test equipment’s.
- Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools or soldering irons. Adjust and rig aircraft system, sub systems, components to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up and operate test equipment to perform functional tests of electrical and electronic systems. Test systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools or soldering irons. Assemble electrical components, subsystems, or systems.
- Carry out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems, following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel.
- Interpret computer-aided drafting, wiring, manuals and design applications of avionics.
- Completes all checklists, forms and reports as required in accordance with the company policy.
- Participates in on-the-job training with onsite personnel. Assists co-workers and those in other departments.
- Successfully perform job tasks and functions as per RJ MOE & PPM.
- Minimum 3-5 years aircraft maintenance experience in Avionics.
- Basic courses in Avionics systems e.g. Electrical / Instruments.
- Formal basic aircraft maintenance training or equivalent.
- Preferable ICAO Type II AME License.
- Knowledge of working with AMMs, IPCs, WDMs.
- Avionics System knowledge Level I.
- Sound awareness of safety procedures.
- Ability to write technical reports. Must be organized, proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written Communication skills.
- Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills.
- Strong knowledge in the development and implementation of policies & procedures.
- Strong organizational commitment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong drive to grow capabilities.
