Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy‑duty trucks, buses, and specialized vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
- Conduct thorough inspections and pre‑trip checks to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic reports to accurately pinpoint and resolve vehicle malfunctions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in heavy vehicle mechanics is highly preferred.
- Hold relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in medium/heavy duty truck or specific manufacturer training.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic, with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex issues.
- Demonstrated expertise in diesel engine repair, drive trains, braking systems, and electrical troubleshooting for commercial vehicles.
