Electrician

Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role requires adherence to electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, lighting, and control systems.
• Inspect electrical systems and identify faults or potential hazards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and in good working condition.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors when required.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certification in Electrical Technology is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician in a commercial, industrial, hospitality, or facilities maintenance environment.
• Valid electrician certification or license, where required.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and during emergency call‑outs when required.
