Role Overview
The role involves carrying out overhaul of pumps and rotating equipment, installation and commissioning activities, fault finding, system diagnostics, and repairs. The position works with pumps, valves and rotating equipment associated with oil & gas, power generation, desalination and wastewater industries.
Responsibilities- Overhaul pumps and rotating equipment: installation and commissioning activities on overhauled pumps and associated equipment.
- Fault finding, system diagnostics and repairs.
- Work with pumps, valves and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, desalination and wastewater industries.
- Dismantle and assemble various types of rotating equipment and valves in the KSB workshop.
- Conduct detailed dimensional inspection of component parts and complete all relevant workshop record sheets.
- Perform pressure testing activities.
- Carry out in-house NDT activities.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Serve as team leader in the workshop and at sites when required.
- Execute fault finding, failure diagnosis, dismantling and assembling on all types of rotating equipment at customer sites.
- Install and commission all types of rotating equipment at customer sites.
- Compile detailed and comprehensive site reports.
- Follow all safety and HSE regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all quality regulations.
- Proven mechanical skills, including the ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of maintenance and operation of pumps.
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot a variety of situations.
- Willingness to train self-motivated individuals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage time, priorities and multitask.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment and shop environment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while remaining focused and organized.
- Willingness to move up and take on a leadership position.
- Valid country driving licence.
