As an Electrical Engineer at ZMI Holdings
, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fleet's electrical and electronic systems through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for marine electrical, navigation, communication, and automation systems
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs of electrical and electronic equipment
- Supporting the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of electrical, safety, and monitoring systems onboard vessels
- Diagnosing equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability
- Interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities
- Preparing maintenance reports and maintaining accurate technical records
- Collaborating with Technical Superintendents, vessel crews, contractors, and OEM representatives to resolve technical issues
- Supervising electricians and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with HSE, Class, and company standards
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, preferably in the marine or offshore industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and marine electrical equipment
- Experience with navigation, communication, automation, and vessel safety systems is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good computer literacy and attention to detail
