Technician - Electrical (Automotive
Job Purpose
Perform electrical and electronic repairs on customer vehicles, including Standard Business and Infiniti models, using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-approved procedures.

Operational Duties- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic subsystems
- Use wiring diagrams
- Service manuals and diagnostic tools
- Review repair orders and understand work scope
- Check vehicle service history and applicable recall campaigns
- Record additional repair requirements using the E-Estimate digital application
- Perform software updates according to manufacturer recommendations
- Communicate findings and additional work requirements to the Team Leader
- Maintain quality control standards and prevent rework
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Handle customer vehicles carefully and safely at all times
Learning Development- Maintain a clean work area and tools
- Participate in technical and skills-development training programs
- Continuously enhance diagnostic and repair capabilities
- Read and interpret Repair manuals
Wiring diagrams
Operating instructions
Safety procedures
- Follow warranty repair procedures and parts-tagging requirements
- Perform recall campaign repairs e g airbag replacement
- Diagnose and repair air-conditioning systems
- Comply with F1 standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Adhere to all Health Safety and Environment HSE requirements
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment PPE and follow workshop safety procedures
- Advanced automotive diagnostics

2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute) NCVT Certificate, or 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Work Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive dealership environment.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Electrician.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer service information.
Automotive electrical and electronic diagnostics. Ability to read and interpret:
Wiring diagrams Repair manuals Maintenance instructions Safety procedures Software updates and programming of vehicle systems. Air-conditioning diagnosis and repair. Quality control and fault-finding expertise.
