Contract Farming Specialist
As a Contract Farming Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating farming operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Your main role will be to work with local farmers and landowners to establish and oversee contractual agreements for crop production.
Responsibilities- Identify potential farming partnerships with local farmers and landowners
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with farmers, ensuring fair compensation for both parties
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with contracted farmers, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor farming activities to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards
- Coordinate logistics for the transportation and delivery of crops to market
- Analyze market trends and make recommendations for crop selection based on demand and profitability
- Keep detailed records of crop yields, expenses, and profits for each contract
- Collaborate with other team members to develop strategies for improving overall farming operations
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in contract farming or agricultural management
- Knowledge of crop production techniques, irrigation systems, and pest control methods
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop mutually beneficial partnerships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Hindi/Urdu is a plus)
- Valid driver's license
