As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation of new furniture and other items according to the customer’s instructions. You will need to measure accurately, cut materials with precision and assemble items in an efficient manner. You will also be responsible for repairing existing furniture such as tables, chairs and cabinets as well as executing tasks related to carpentry projects.
You must also be able to complete minor electrical work such as wiring lighting fixtures or installing doorbells if necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant carpentry experience, excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. You must also have excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers and other team members on the job site. You must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation in order to travel between job sites when needed. It is essential that you have knowledge of safety protocols related to carpentry tasks such as using ladders or operating machinery correctly.
A professional qualification or certification in carpentry is preferred but not required for this position.
