Maintenance Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) - Cut & Bend machine ex
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection preventive maintenance PM and condition monitoring of Cut Bend machines and associated equipment
Execute breakdown maintenance with quick fault identification to minimize production downtime
Troubleshoot and repair Electrical systems control panels motors drives VFDs sensors limit switches encoders
Mechanical systems gearboxes bearings chains couplings rollers straightening units
Read and interpret electrical drawings wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics Carry out alignment lubrication tightening and calibration activities for optimal machine performance
Support installation commissioning and trial runs of new machines or upgraded systems
Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities to supervisors with proper documentation
Maintain maintenance logs checklists and daily reports in line with plant requirements
Ensure availability and proper usage of tools spares and consumables
Follow Lockout-Tagout LOTO and all safety procedures during maintenance work Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance without impacting output targets
Assist in root cause analysis RCA and implementation of corrective preventive actions
- BE/B Tech/ Diploma i/ITI n Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering industry
- Strong working experience with Cut & Bend machines (rebar processing lines) preferred
- Basic knowledge of: PLC systems and control circuits
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Industrial safety standards
- Ability to work in shift operations and handle emergency breakdowns
- Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Physically fit to work in industrial environments
- Experience in steel / rebar / fabrication industry
- Exposure to preventive & predictive maintenance practices
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance
