Electrical And Instrumentation Technician

To ensure the effective operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the tissue paper manufacturing plant, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment including motors, drives, control panels and distribution boards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure quick resolution.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes and standards.

• Calibrate and maintain sensors, transmitters, pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors and other field instruments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot PLC, Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA and DCS systems used in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain and configure control systems for tissue machines, converting lines and utilities.
• Conduct regular checks and calibrations on process instrumentation for accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in commissioning and start‑up activities for new machines or modifications.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbooks.
• Ensure timely reporting of breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Support in inventory management for spare parts related to E/I.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Experience:

5 years of relevant experience in a tissue paper manufacturing plant or similar industrial environment.

• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), VFDs, and HMIs.
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., Lockout-Tagout, arc flash protection).
