Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Senior Technician or Engineer to lead the site installation field testing and quality control of impressed current cathodic protection ICCP systems for foundation steel rebars and concrete structures. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the site execution phase, guiding installation crews, training electricians on specialized spot‑welding and wiring procedures, ensuring compliance with strict project specifications, and managing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑pour testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Guidance:
Oversee the physical erection and installation of MMO titanium mesh ribbon anodes, conductor bars, monitoring clusters, Ag/AgCl reference electrodes, steel coupons, and power supply units (PSUs).
  • Team Leadership:
Train and supervise teams and technicians on correct installation sequences, spot‑welding techniques (e.g., TECNA SY‑AWS spot welders), cable crimping, and resin‑filled heat‑shrink encapsulation.
  • Quality & Compliance Control:
Ensure all installations strictly adhere to project method statements, engineering drawings, and international standards (e.g., NACE AMPP, DNV).
  • Testing & Commissioning:
Conduct and document critical electrical tests including rebar‑to‑rebar and cable electrical continuity checks, anode‑to‑cathode isolation and resistance measurements before, during, and after concrete pouring; reference electrode functional and potential verification tests.
  • Documentation:
Complete Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and sign off quality checklists alongside contractor and client representatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certification: NACE / AMPP Cathodic Protection Technician (CP-2) certification (valid).
  • Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on site experience specializing in Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems for reinforced concrete structures, pile caps, and industrial foundations.
  • Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with oil & gas or major infrastructure standards (ADNOC or GCC regional project experience is a strong advantage).
  • Skills:

Proficient in using high/low impedance multimeters, troubleshooting short circuits in rebar cages prior to concrete pours, and interpreting complex electrical layout and isometric drawings.
  • Leadership:
Strong communication skills with a proven track record of mentoring technicians and interacting with clients.
