Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the farm maintenance team
.Carry out and oversee electrical, mechanical and plumbing maintenance
.Troubleshoot and repair farm equipment, machinery and utility systems.
Conduct regular inspections of farm infrastructure, equipment and facilities
.Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule
.Identify equipment faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain electrical systems, motors, pumps, control panels and related equipment.
Handle plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage and related farm utilities.
Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment used in dairy farm operations.
Monitor maintenance activities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, spare parts and equipment breakdowns.
Coordinate with management regarding major repairs, replacement of equipment and spare-parts requirements.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and maintenance procedures
.Train and guide maintenance technicians/helpers as required.
Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and operational maintenance requirements.
Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field
.Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience
, preferably in a dairy farm, livestock farm, agricultural facility, food production plant or similar environment.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
.Experience in equipment troubleshooting and repair
.Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance
.Experience supervising a maintenance team.
Ability to diagnose equipment faults and implement effective solutions.
Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Willingness to work in a farm/livestock environment and respond to maintenance emergencies when required..
- Vocational training or Associate's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., agricultural mechanics, electrical technology).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, preferably within the agricultural or dairy industry.
- Proven experience in supervising or leading a technical team, demonstrating strong communication and delegation skills.
- Certification in welding, electrical systems, or specific farm equipment maintenance is highly advantageous.
