Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician

GAL is seeking an experienced Aircraft Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, servicing, repair, and preparation of ALSE and aircrew survival equipment in accordance with approved technical publications, procedures, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of ALSE.
• Inspect, maintain, pack, adjust, and service personnel/aircrew parachutes and associated components.
• Inspect and maintain Personal Survival Packs (PSP) and survival equipment for operational readiness.
• Maintain Quick Release Fittings (QRF), Quick Release Brackets (QRB), and restraint/attachment equipment.
• Inspect, fit, and maintain flight helmets and associated equipment.
• Inspect and service G-suits/anti-G garments
  , life jackets/flotation equipment, oxygen masks, and related aircrew oxygen equipment.
• Perform removal, installation, cleaning, preservation, preparation, packing, and storage of ALSE equipment.
• Conduct functional and serviceability checks using approved tools, test equipment, and procedures.
• Identify defective, damaged, expired, or unserviceable equipment and report findings to the ALSE Supervisor

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable technical publications, qualifications, and safety requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in Aircraft Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance.
• Practical experience with parachutes, survival equipment, aircrew helmets, G-suits, flotation equipment, QRF/QRB, and oxygen systems.
• Ability to interpret and work in accordance with technical publications and approved maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and maintenance discipline.
