Welding Inspector

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Welding Inspector in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

• Inspect welding activities before, during and after welding to verify compliance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Review WPS and relevant welding documentation before commencement of work.
• Verify joint preparation, fit-up, materials, welding consumables and applicable welding parameters.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed welds against drawings and acceptance requirements.
• Verify welder qualifications and ensure approved welders are deployed for applicable welding activities.
• Coordinate/review applicable NDT activities and inspection records.
• Identify weld defects and non-conformities and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate welding inspection and quality documentation.

• Welding Inspection:
  Strong knowledge of pre-weld, in-process and post-weld inspection.
• WPS/PQR:
  Ability to understand and verify welding procedure requirements.
• Codes & Standards:
  Working knowledge of applicable welding codes and specifications.
• Visual Inspection:
  Ability to identify weld discontinuities and assess workmanship.
• Inspection Documentation:
  Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain traceable records.

• CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI or equivalent welding inspection certification.
• Knowledge of NDT/NDE methods and reports.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASME, AWS and API, depending on project requirements.
• AWS identifies CWI and NDT/NDE credentials as relevant welding-inspection qualifications.
