Overview

To perform aircraft avionics maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision as instructed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

• 1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• 2. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
• 3. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
• 4. Perform scheduled service and maintenance tasks to aircraft avionic system components and report problems related to maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft system and related aerospace equipment.
• 5. Perform unscheduled troubleshoots and maintain assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment.
• 6. Perform tasks with technician teams in conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems according to applicable standards and procedures.
• 7. Fill maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation.
• 8. Report findings and issues to supervisor and proceed with the adopted solution ensuring proper implementation of tasks performed.
• 9. Perform basic launch and recovery to avionics equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
• 10. Install and maintain visual landing aids as instructed per adopted procedures.
• 11. Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
• 12. Perform repair and maintenance tasks on issues encountered during typical recovery missions.
• 13. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians on basic tasks and procedures to support their development.
• 14. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• 15. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• 16. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
