Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems ensuring optimal performance and comfort.
- Install and service a variety of HVAC equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and ventilation systems adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within HVAC systems utilizing diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify root causes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in HVAC/refrigeration highly preferred.
- Possess EPA Section 608 certification (Universal, Type I, II, or III) for handling refrigerants.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician, with a proven track record of successful repairs and installations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
