Following installation, the company provides planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services to help ensure kitchens remain safe, efficient, and fully operational over time.

This full-time on-site Contractor role is based in Great Harwood and focuses on supporting the delivery of commercial kitchen projects. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with installation of ventilation systems, kitchen fabrication, equipment positioning, and fitting of flooring and wall/ceiling cladding in line with project designs and safety standards. The Contractor may help prepare worksites, manage tools and materials, and coordinate with project managers, designers, and other trades to meet timelines and quality requirements.

The role can also involve supporting PPM activities, such as routine inspections, minor repairs, and reporting any issues that impact kitchen performance. Accurate documentation of work carried out, adherence to health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace are key aspects of the position.

• Practical experience in construction, installation, or general contracting work, ideally within commercial kitchens or similar environments.
• Knowledge of basic building, mechanical, or fabrication practices, including safe use of tools and equipment.
• Awareness of health and safety standards relevant to commercial kitchen installations and maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, project plans, and written instructions accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and other contractors.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, fitting, and working in varied on-site conditions.
• Previous experience in PPM or routine maintenance work is beneficial.
• Relevant trade qualifications, certifications, or apprenticeships in construction, mechanical, or electrical fields are an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to be based on-site in Great Harwood.
