Job Summary
Insulet Corporation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes. Our Medical Affairs department supports this mission by providing medical expertise to inform product research, development, evidence generation, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, and medical education. The Medical Affairs Coordinator is an integral member of the global Medical Affairs team, supporting the planning and execution of healthcare provider engagements and medical education programs to ensure high‑quality, compliant delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage logistics of healthcare provider engagements for US Medical Affairs (internal approval forms, contracting, payments, travel, and meeting logistics).
- Handle vendor financial processes, including supplier tracking, statements of work, purchase requisitions, and invoicing.
- Support execution of US medical education grants, coordinating meetings, documentation, analysis, budgeting, and record‑keeping for approved grants.
- Assist team operations, including meeting coordination, documentation, and use of collaborative tools.
- Maintain proficiency in cross‑functional system tools (e.g., SAP, Ironclad, Bryter, Zip).
- Support maintenance of HCP global data privacy practices through SharePoint management.
- Define and develop departmental process improvements that drive efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure compliant execution of all activities in alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the needs of the business.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage contracting activities across multiple timelines and stakeholders.
- Hands‑on, proactive, independent, and self‑directed work style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and database systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards in interactions with HCPs, payers, and industry representatives.
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2‑5 years of experience in a relevant professional setting.
- Familiarity with the life science industry, including relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing interactions with HCPs, payers, and industry representatives.
- This position is a hybrid role based in either the Acton, MA or San Diego, CA office.
- Travel, including internationally, is expected on rare occasions for internal team meetings as required by business needs.
- This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on‑site work from an Insulet office).
