Position Overview

Insulet is a mission driven company that develops extraordinary, innovative products that directly impact people's lives and health. We are developing connected consumer medical solutions with a combination of hardware, software, mobile, cloud, and wearables for people living with diabetes and the people that support them. Our mission is to both simplify people's lives while improving their outcomes. As the product leader, the Director of Product Management must evangelize the product and bring the 'Why' to the teams, define and prioritize the 'What', and work closely with the technical leadership to ensure the 'How' delivers on the user needs.

To deliver outstanding products, Insulet approaches development with cross functional product teams with resources from many disciplines (e.g., mechanical engineering, embedded electronics, UX and human factors, software engineering, cloud architecture, clinical, regulatory, and commercial) contributing to each program. In this role you are primarily accountable for the success of the product that is released (user experience, commercial success, field reliability), and have shared responsibility with Program Management for timeliness to market and program budget.

Working closely with a peer in product marketing, a system architect, and program management, you achieve these objectives by ensuring that the product vision, system design, and regulatory and clinical strategies, are optimized to efficiently deliver an outstanding product to Insulet's users. You will also help to create the vision and strategy for the different product lines.

Responsibilities

* Steward of the product line, ensuring vision and intent across releases, ensuring simplicity, usability, and HCP confidence are preserved as the product is delivered on time & scales.

* Lead MVP shaping within an established roadmap, making informed tradeoffs across scope, risk, usability, and delivery timing.

* Coach Principle through Associate Product Managers through ambiguity and complexity, helping teams balance near‑term delivery with long‑term coherence across multiple release versions and time horizons. Ensure product managers deliver to intent into clear product definitions, requirements, and acceptance criteria across PM‑owned domains.
