St. Mary's Catholic School is looking for a classroom teacher passionate about K‑12 STEM and potentially computer science classes for the 26‑27 school year. We have an exciting new endeavor underway with Woz Ed Cobalt Education that is bringing new STEM opportunities to our school and ways STEM can be infused into our general education classroom and presented in elevated ways within our school system.

St. Mary's Catholic School is a small, family‑centered, faith‑based school system located in a beautiful lakeside community (Storm Lake, IA). Class size is generally 25 students. Our school system emphasizes high‑quality academics, strong classroom structure, and faith‑based opportunities for student growth starting at an early age. We also pride ourselves in a family‑like atmosphere for students, staff, and parents alike. Small class sizes allow for personalized learning and connections among students, staff, and family.

Because we are a PK‑12 school system all on one campus, we have many great opportunities for students of all ages to engage and interact together, which really helps build a family atmosphere. We do service projects together, holiday activities, team‑building opportunities, school Mass buddies, etc. We have an over one‑hundred year legacy in our community and are the only Catholic school in the county.

St. Mary’s is also a school on the Teacher Cancellation Low Income Directory.

Applicants must hold an active teaching license within the state of Iowa. Applicants must also pass a background check and complete a diocesan Virtus Safe Environment training (done online) prior to hiring.
