Geocomp’s Geo Testing Express (GTX) is seeking a Rock Laboratory Technician to join our Soil and Rock Testing Laboratory in Acton, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to launch their career in geotechnical testing. You will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment, advanced processes, and real-world projects that support site characterization, geotechnical design, quality control, and performance assessment.

Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing on soil, rock, and geosynthetics
- Collect, record, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with laboratory projects and daily operations as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment
- Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and process compliance
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, adaptable, and willing to learn new laboratory techniques
- No prior laboratory experience required — full training will be provided
- Coursework or exposure to earth sciences, geology, civil, or environmental engineering is a plus (not required)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods at a lab bench or workstation
