Sr. Electromechanical Technician

As a Sr. Electromechanical Technician, you'll build, test, troubleshoot, and refine advanced electromechanical prototypes while collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This position is responsible for supporting the R&D Engineering teams in the design and development of low power battery operated medical electronics. This position must be experienced with assembling prototypes, setup & support of development systems, following test procedures, and documenting test results. This position requires close cooperation with members of engineering team to accomplish project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes on the procurement, assembly, and test of technical products and systems
  • Use and/or application of the basic principles, theories, and concepts of electromechanical systems, including some troubleshooting of technical issues with the support of engineering staff
  • Assemble electromechanical systems using automated and manual tools
  • Assembly of embedded electronic systems using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components, utilizing hand tools and reworking techniques as necessary
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate the performance of electromechanical assemblies under simulated operating conditions, following detailed procedures, and clearly & concisely reporting on results
  • Gather and analyze test data in MS Excel or similar to present test results to team
  • Works under regular supervision; follows established directions and uses judgment within defined practices and procedures
  • Performs other duties as necessary

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma / GED and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree/Vocational Technical School diploma with focus on related field and 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Self-starter, detail oriented, and effective verbal/written communicator
  • Ethical, responsible, and data-driven decision making methodology
  • Ability to organize work and judge priorities with guidance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of executing test protocols, basic data analysis, and reporting
  • Office Software Proficiency (Word, Excel)
  • Lab Rework Equipment Proficiency (soldering iron, hot air station, wire crimping, etc.), particularly on modern components such as BGA and QFN packages at 0.5mm pitch
  • Lab Test Equipment Proficiency (DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generators, etc.) preferred

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Able to lift 20 lbs

Compensation & Benefits:
For U.S.

-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $28.70 - $43.05. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off (PTO); and additional employee wellness programs.
