As a Patient Care Coordinator (Experience Preferred), you are often the first point of connection for our patients and play a vital role in shaping a welcoming, organized, and reassuring experience from the very first interaction. Compensation$20/hour
Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or business-related office working with customers, scheduling, and/or insurance verification
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and basic medical terminology
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Chat, etc.)
- Serve as a welcoming and dependable first point of contact by answering incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
- Respond to new patient inquiries from phone calls, website forms, and email in a timely and thoughtful manner
- Listen to patient concerns and guide them through next steps in care with clarity and empathy
- Guide prospective patients through the scheduling and intake process with confidence and professionalism
- Accurately register patients in the EMR, ensuring all demographic, insurance, and intake information is complete prior to the initial evaluation
- Confirm receipt of patient registration forms and proactively resolve intake or scheduling conflicts
- Schedule patient appointments based on availability, patient preferences, and clinic utilization needs
- Track patient leads and referrals while maintaining proactive follow-up communication
- Conduct appointment reminder and rescheduling calls to support patient attendance and continuity of care
- Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients, clinicians, and administrative team members
- Assist with documentation management, scanning, and front office organization
- Support a positive clinic environment by contributing to team communication, shared goals, and company values
- Provide coverage for other Patient Care Coordinators as needed
- Strong interpersonal, telephone, and written communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and skilled at building relationships with people of all backgrounds and abilities
- Sales skills preferred or willingness to learn basic consultative sales techniques
- Effective problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
