The primary focus of the Administrative Coordinator, under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory and ensure efficient and accurate delivery of services. Within this context, the duties include, but are not limited to patient services, record management, facility management, inventory control, training and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities:- Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent patient servicing.
- Treat co-workers, clinical staff, and patients with respect at all times.
- Maintain efficient patient flow-through.
- Schedule and monitor patient appointments.
- Monitor recall book.
- Process patient orders accurately upon arrival to Laboratory.
- Obtain missing orders, missing information, and verify unclear test orders according to established procedures.
- Observe HIPAA & PHI (Protected Health Information) regulations at all times.
- Assist in training of new staff/interns.
- Perform clerical duties to include but limited to faxing, filing, mailing correspondence.
- Resolve pending lists including but not limited to pending orders, expired preorders and expired standing orders according to established procedure.
- Participate in all quality improvement activities, problem resolution activities and staff meetings.
- Take responsibility to keep informed on all policy and procedure changes in a timely manner.
- Follow established safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Manage time and work assignments so as to accomplish day-to-day duties as well as special projects and assignments.
- Follow Acton Medical Associates, PC policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, time off, and standards of conduct.
- Assure adequate coverage during periods of short staffing and unscheduled absences.
- Bring problems and concerns to the Laboratory Manager or Clinical Director in an appropriate and timely manner.

Required Qualifications:- High school education or general degree (GED) or 1+ years of related experience in the medical field or equivalent of education and experience
- Medical receptionist experience and/or background are desirable. Previous public contact may be substituted
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
