Schedule:
Flexible hours supporting four manufacturing shifts
Position OverviewSeeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to provide hands-on HR and employee relations support in a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners and managers to address employee relations matters, conduct investigations, manage corrective actions and terminations, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment law.
Key Responsibilities- Advise employees and managers on employee relations, performance, corrective actions, and HR policies.
- Conduct employee investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Develop and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Support terminations, severance documentation, and related HR processes.
- Maintain accurate organizational and employee data within Workday or similar HRIS.
- Handle escalated HR inquiries and policy-related issues.
- Analyze exit interview data and provide insights to HR leadership.
- Prepare employee relations reports and identify trends.
- Develop and deliver employee relations training for managers and employees.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to improve the overall employee experience.
- 5-8+ years of employee relations experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Manufacturing or multi-shift environment experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working 5 days/week onsite with flexible hours.
- Schedule will support all four manufacturing shifts.
- Example schedule may include two early-shift days (5:00 a.m.
-2:00 p.m.) with remaining days during standard business hours. - Occasional late-shift or weekend coverage may be required for urgent employee relations matters, with some situations potentially handled remotely.
- Candidates must be comfortable with a non-traditional, flexible schedule
