** JOB DESCRIPTION Position Overview Join a mission-driven team shaping the future of our client's digital experiences through a scalable, AI-enabled Global Design System. This role sits within the Digital and Service Customer Experience (DSCX) team and focuses on building the foundational system that powers consistent, accessible, and high-quality experiences across our ecosystem.

As an Associate UX Designer on the Global Design System team, you’ll work within a small, highly collaborative group responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving our design system. You’ll partner with product, engineering, and platform teams to drive adoption and ensure the system meets real-world needs.

This role offers hands-on experience applying modern design system practices—including the use of AI to accelerate component creation, documentation, and governance—while growing your craft in a highly impactful space.

Responsibilities Contribute to the creation and evolution of the Global Design System, including UI components, patterns, and documentation.

Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure design system components meet real product needs and are implemented effectively.
• Help translate product requirements into reusable design patterns, components, and guidelines.
• Support the adoption and usage of the design system across teams by providing guidance, documentation, and examples.
• Assist in maintaining Figma libraries and design tokens to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Participate in audits and analysis of existing experiences to identify opportunities for systemization and reuse.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support the creation, documentation, and iteration of design system assets.
• Participate in design critiques, system reviews, and cross-team collaboration rituals to continuously improve the system.
• Support design QA and ensure design system standards are upheld during development.

Skills & Characteristics
• Strong interest in design systems, scalable design, and component-based thinking.
• Good visual and interaction design fundamentals with strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Systems thinker with the ability to recognize patterns and opportunities for reuse.
• Collaborative and comfortable working across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Effective communicator who can explain design decisions and system guidelines clearly.
• Curious and proactive, with an interest in emerging tools and practices (including AI in design workflows).
• Organized and able to manage multiple inputs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as HCI, Design, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in UX, product design, or design systems (internships and academic work welcome).
• Familiarity with Figma (including components, libraries, and design systems concepts).
• Basic understanding of front-end concepts (HTML/CSS, design tokens, or component-based development) is a plus.
• Exposure to accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals and, ideally, componentized or systems-based thinking.
• Interest in scalable design, platform thinking, and applying AI to design workflows.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with on-site collaboration in Acton, MA or San Diego, CA.
