Clinical Applications Specialist
This position provides principal support of the clinical applications environment under supervision of the Project and Applications Manager, IT. The clinical applications specialist will work with APDerm IT, vendor resources, partner resources, physicians, directors, and teammates to support and enhance the applications portfolio, interacting with multiple facets of the business as the application expert. It is a hybrid role with expected on-site presence at HQ in Acton and at sites as needed.
The position will provide technical support, training, testing, project involvement, build and design assistance for applications within the applications environment.
This is a hybrid position with the ability to work remotely, but must be able to travel to corporate headquarters in Acton, MA and APDerm practice locations in MA, RI, NH and NY.
Responsibilities- Provide day to day support of clinical applications within the APDerm IT environment including patient merges, troubleshooting and remediating interface and application issues, knowledge of relevant workflows, build, training, testing and end user access provisioning/facilitation.
- Operate across multiple projects simultaneously and assume responsibility for offering clinical applications insight and design/build/test/train/implement resourcing on assigned projects.
- Serve as liaison between internal customers and external vendors and partners to understand workflows, system applications and technology requirements and facilitate implementation and application functionality.
- Participate in training of staff on clinical applications, including on site provider training.
- Responsible for clear oral and written communication of ticket and issue status, project updates, workflow and application functional changes, training documentation and application forms.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4-year college degree. Can be substituted with 5 years of application support experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- 4 Year college degree in a technical or clinical field
- Certifications in applications and technology relevant to the APDerm application portfolio
- Demonstrated experience with IT projects and/or application support
