Job Summary

Talbots (a specialty retailer) is seeking a Regular/Part‑time Associate located at Store 00008, Acton, MA (01720). The Associate provides exceptional customer service, promotes products, and creates stylish outfits while meeting sales and service metrics.

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support all service enhancers, including active use of Concierge.
• Serve multiple customers simultaneously, multi‑tasking and handling projects concurrently.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and new arrivals; maintain product knowledge regarding fit, color, and fashion details.
• Use fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items that match their needs.
• Maximize individual performance through learning opportunities, acceptance of direction, coaching, and feedback.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including clienteling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete projects as assigned, including operational tasks such as filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.

• Demonstrated selling competence, styling expertise, and passion for fashion.

• Technological competency to navigate computer, iPad, and handheld systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, move around regularly, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, stretch, lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Availability of 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
