Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Software Engineer with expertise in Lab View, Visual Basic, an understanding of SQL databases and a strong understanding of electronics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Acton, MA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and systems using Visual Basic and SQL databases.
- Design and implement data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and optimize electronic components and systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- BS in Computer Science, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- 5 years’ relevant software experience
- Familiarity with National Instruments equipment, Lab View, Visual Basic, and SQL databases
- Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and debugging techniques.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on electronics.
- Knowledge of network protocols, system integration, and real‑time operating systems relevant to building automation.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Proficiency in Visual Basic and SQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of LabVIEW for data acquisition and control.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $139,000 - $174,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
