Job Description:
Receiver/Warehouse Operator
A Shift = Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 6:30pm
Position Overview:Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for accurate receipt of incoming materials and supplies. This position also ensures all incoming transactions are promptly entered into the ERP System (SAP) in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures and following through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with applicable FDA and cGMP procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring the warehouse has proper workflow to meet the demand.
This is a Medical Device manufacturing site compliant with 21 CFR/ISO 13485 regulations.
- Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risk. By reporting any safety incidents, hazards and equipment malfunctions promptly to management
- Complete all assigned QMS training and keep up to date before performing a task.
- Operate systems and office equipment such as computers, software and printers as trained and specified
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks for pallet movement.
- Receive, inspect, and verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Assuring no damaged items are received if damaged report to correct personnel about damaged shipment.
- Accurately log inventory data into the ERP System (SAP).
- Assist another department by locating item withing the warehouse.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a functioning, clean, and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience
- 1 year of experience with working knowledge of a warehouse environment.
Prior Fork Truck experience able to pass company standard for operating Fork Trucks and Power Jacks
Preferred Skills andCompetencies:
- Basic Computer Skills and Experience with SAP Software or ability to learn SAP software Materials Management module.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
- Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely operate power equipment and manual pallet jacks.
- You must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
- Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
- Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
