• Provide consultation services to staff regarding students in the school who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs);
• Collaborate and contribute to the development of those plans to determine and prioritize goals;
• Develop a schedule for each student to be seen either within the classroom or in an individual or small group setting outside the classroom (as dictated by the IEP);
• Conduct formative and summative educational assessments to determine each student’s current level of functioning, including VB Map;
• Collaborate with teachers to determine the appropriate level of specialized instruction necessary for each student to achieve the given goals;
• Provide ongoing training to staff around autism and treatment for students with autism;
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and/or modifications as prescribed in the IEP;
• Evaluate student progress toward meeting the goals and adjusting supports as necessary;
• Report progress toward goals to parents and school administration;
• Communicate with parents to enhance their understanding of the services offered;
• Attend IEP meetings for students on the caseload;

Compensation will be in accordance with the salary scale outlined in the Acushnet Teachers Association collective bargaining agreement.
