Personal Advocate

Description

In this role as a direct support professional, you will assist individuals in creating meaningful opportunities to fully participate in their daily program and become fully immersed in the communities in which they live. The day‑to‑day operations of the program will reflect an environment that values respect, dignity, and privacy. You will recognize the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person supported and partner with them in making informed decisions about finances, well‑being, relationships, and employment.

Assist all individuals with their daily needs and ensure that all activities reflect their choices.

Schedule:

Mon‑Thurs 9 a‑3 p, Fri 8 a‑2 p
Hourly rate: $19.50‑$20.50 depending on MAP certification.

• Assist individuals in creating meaningful opportunities for participation in their daily program and community.
• Ensure a respectful, dignified, and private environment in day‑to‑day operations.
• Recognize and honor the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person supported.
• Partner with individuals to make informed decisions about finances, well‑being, relationships, and employment.
• Assist with daily needs and ensure activities reflect the individual's choices.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Access to a vehicle.
• Ability to attend Life Stream orientation and training upon hire.

No experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is required.
