We operate aggregate and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) production facilities in Acushnet, Dracut, Lunenburg (Massachusetts) and Cranston (Rhode Island). Our modern facilities, veteran paving crews, experienced construction management team, and large investment in plants and equipment make us one of the largest and most efficient producers in Massachusetts and one of only two RIDOT‑approved stone suppliers in Rhode Island.

Position Overview

Candidate will operate all equipment including loaders, excavators and dozers (heavy equipment).

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions)
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and professional manner in the yard area.
  • Keep vehicle clean inside and outside.
  • Report any accident or incident to supervisor.
  • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip truck inspections; fill out daily vehicle condition report.
  • Inform Service Technician and supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed.
  • Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep load counts.
  • Perform all duties safely and in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of MSHA regulations.
  • Work as a team member with other employees within the crushing operation to ensure smooth operation.
  • Ensure crusher is fed consistently.
  • Continuously drive truck within the quarry to deliver material to crusher and stockpiles.

Requirements
  • Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendance.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays/nights.
  • Demonstrate ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees.
  • Demonstrate ability to conform to and maintain MSHA and all company policies or governmental state rules and regulations.
  • Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Pre‑employment physical exam, controlled substance testing, and criminal background check are required before employment.
Education/Professional Experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Hoisting License 2A required.
  • Experience with quarry operations is a plus.
  • MSHA certification.
Physical Requirements

The employee frequently sits, climbs, and uses hands to signal and handle equipment. Occasionally the employee must stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above the shoulders. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision demands include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Work

Environment

The work environment exposes the employee to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, vibration, high or precarious places, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
