Factory Worker​/Porter

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machinery in line with company standards.
• Calibrate machines at the start of each shift for optimal performance.
• Review work orders to determine required materials and quantities.
• Measure, grade, and load raw materials into machines.
• Assemble products on conveyor belts and promptly report faults to the supervisor.
• Monitor production processes, perform basic testing and quality checks.
• Adhere to production procedures and safety regulations.

• Certification, training, or experience in relevant fields (an asset).
• Prior experience in aviation ground handling, especially as an Operations Agent (Weight & Balance) for carriers such as Delta, Jet Blue, or British Airways (preferred).
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions, adhere to policies, and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Willingness to work shifts, long hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies (e.g. hurricanes).
• Dependable and punctual, with a strong record of attendance.
• Good reading, writing, math, and comprehension skills.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
• Capable of operating ground service and heavy factory equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions (heat, dust, noise).
• Physically strong and fit; able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
• Safety-conscious and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must work well independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to meet all regulatory and pre-employment requirements, including a clean police record and drug screening.
• Vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Hourly Rate: CI $6.00 – CI $8.00 (based on qualifications and experience)
