Job Description
As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for performing kettle and holding tank washouts, recording raw material requirements, and ensuring formula batches meet required specifications. You will submit samples for quality testing and use tools like pumps and hoses to transfer materials safely. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform kettle and holding tank washouts in compliance with department requirements.
Record raw material requirements, lot/batch numbers, and quantities on paperwork and labels.
Submit samples of formulas and raw materials to Quality Control for testing and approval.
Ensure formula batches meet required specifications by following Production Order Instructions.
Safely use pumps, hoses, transfer lines, and valves to transfer materials and formulas.
Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to the Production Floor Employee Dress Code.
Execute housekeeping in Compounding work areas to maintain a safe, clean environment.
Replace and maintain hoses, gaskets, and connectors to ensure safe material transfer.
Assist in troubleshooting transfer pumps.
Operate forklift and pallet jack as needed.
Attention to detail
Adherence to safety procedures
Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
Experience in chemical mixing, compounding, and batch making
Forklift operation
Skills & Qualifications
Chemical experience preferred
Basic math, reading, and writing skills

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, well-lit chemical environment. Shifts include 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm and 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7 am (Sunday through Thursday).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Acworth, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
