Account Manager DescriptionOur client, a well-established manufacturer and distributor of industrial equipment, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team in Acworth, Georgia. This vital role supports the technical sales process by handling customer inquiries, preparing quotes and proposals, coordinating orders, and acting as a bridge between the sales, engineering, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will be a technically minded professional with strong communication skills, a background in industrial or manufacturing environments, and a natural ability to deliver excellent customer service with patience and professionalism.
Success in this role requires someone who can juggle multiple priorities with poise, work independently with minimal supervision, and remain calm and effective under pressure. - Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and orders
- Recommend products based on customer needs and technical requirements
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and order confirmations
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, and operations teams
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records of all customer interactions
- Track orders and coordinate shipping and delivery timelines
- Generate sales reports and insights
- Deliver presentations on company products and capabilities
- Assist in resolving technical issues and failure analysis
- Technical sales or sales support in the industrial/manufacturing industry required
- Strong mechanical aptitude (understanding of drawings, production processes, etc.) required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- CRM experience required
- Must be able to work on-site
