OverviewWalmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
- Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
- Eligible for bonus incentive.

Hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 – $45.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances related to schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
