Overview
Copper and Brass Division is a distributor and processor of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and other quality materials serving markets across North America. The position supports how the company provides customers with what they want, when they need it, with focus on Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical, Medical and Oil & Gas industries. This is a 1st shift role with pay in the range of $18.50–$22.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Review PGI (Post Goods Issue), LX03 (Bin Status Report), and LL01 (Warehouse Activities Monitor) for open issues and participate in daily shift meetings to ensure material handlers and machine operators move material correctly.
- Use the checklist to determine corrective actions and necessary training.
- Authorized to make inventory adjustments of less than 50 lbs.
- Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
- Meet TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Warehouse experience including forklift, packing, measuring, and inventory.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
- Ability to understand equipment and tolerances.
- Safety mindset.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of previous supervisory experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of metals and proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
- First aid and CPR training; exposure to safety programs, ISO standards, and Lean practices.
- Familiarity with sales functions.
- Leadership ability to build and participate in effective teams.
