Design and prepare detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles, and related maps and specifications used in construction projects such as streets, highways, water, sewer, and drainage improvements; inspects and oversees construction of streets, highways, water, sewer, drainage improvements, and other types of construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. Interpret and apply applicable Federal, State and local policies, laws and regulations.
Oversee multiple projects.
In addition, provide technical support to environmental program activities and operations within the Public Works Division; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments, outside regulatory agencies and the general public; and to provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline is required.
License or Certificate:
Be registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma. Applicant must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
