** Job Description
**** As a Financial Reporting Analyst with OMES you will enjoy:

** Job Details
*** Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
* Support the Central Accounting and Reporting (CAR) team
* Salary up to: $68,600 based on education and experience
** Responsibilities
* ** Contributes to the preparation of the State’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
* Communicates with agencies to obtain financial information
* Instructs and assists agencies with the completion of GAAP conversion packages.
* Revises and updates state agency conversion packages annually, as needed.
* Contributes to the review and analysis of the State's accounting policies and procedure and makes recommendations for appropriate changes.
* Serves as a liaison to State Auditor & Inspector agency personnel
* Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports submitted by agencies to ensure compliance
* Ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as assigned
** Physical Demands and Work Environment
*** This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
** Preference will be given to candidates who possess
*** CPA certification
* CPA candidate
* Governmental accounting experience, understanding of governmental accounting standards board (GASB), and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governments
* Experience working with general ledger and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
