Occupational Therapist - Travel

Overview

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Ada, OK. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing setting regain or improve daily living skills.

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement care plans, document clinical progress, and record treatment minutes in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, medically necessary OT interventions for patients with cognitive and/or ADL impairments.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Deliver ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices as indicated.
• Communicate patient progress and barriers with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and required trainings.
• Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethics.

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Oklahoma OT license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehab required.
• Current resume required at time of submission.
• Skills checklist and reference requirement: 0–1 reference required at time of submission; skills checklist within 1 year required.
• New graduates considered only if they have Level II fieldwork experience, not solely Level I observation experience.
• Ability to document in electronic medical records and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements.
• Ability to supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed.

• BLS certification from AHA or ARC preferred.
• Experience with standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions preferred.

• Shift hours: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
• Weekend requirement:
  None.
