Position
We are currently looking for a Full Time Looapila' Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Ambulatory Clinic team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, working Monday-Friday from 8-5.
SummaryThe purpose of this position is to provide direct patient care within the outpatient pharmacist-managed clinics and to deliver the highest quality of patient care and services. The role includes supporting the Medication-Assisted Treatment (Suboxone) program. The pharmacist must maintain the highest level of attention to detail to prevent medication errors and ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities- Provide pharmaceutical care services to patients within the Looapila' Clinic.
- Check for duplicate therapy, dosing, refill screens for interactions, and give oral and written instructions on correct use and storage of all medications.
- Collaborate with clinicians and healthcare providers to deliver pharmaceutical care.
- Provide drug information to Looapila' medical and nursing staff as needed.
- Give didactic and experiential training in clinical pharmacy for pharmacy students and residents.
- Act as a role model for fellow pharmacy staff.
- Assist in training pharmacy staff.
- Provide pharmaceutical care within the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program.
- Obtain detailed medical, psychiatric, and substance abuse patient histories.
- Assess patient compliance through toxicology examination of urinalysis screens.
- Collaborate with the MAT team and providers to evaluate treatment appropriateness and compliance.
- Maintain documentation and data collection for grant-based funding compliance.
- Communicate required information to administration and oversight bodies.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
- Deliver first-class customer service to internal and external customers.
- Complete all training and development requirements and continue education.
- Support productivity and safety through a collaborative and supportive approach.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and a safe environment.
- Promote professionalism and punctuality, adhering to dress code and attendance policies.
- Remain knowledgeable of rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines for the assigned area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Understand and apply Chickasaw Nation policies and guidelines.

- Understand hospital ambulatory pharmacy operations.
- Lead subordinates and motivate team members.
- Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders.
- 1 year of directly related experience.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Pass general background check.
- Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy License.
- Oklahoma Registered Pharmacist License.
- Oklahoma Preceptor License.
- Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (optional).
- Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (optional).
- Work in a hospital or clinic environment; also in an office setting.
- Stand for up to 75% of the shift; occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
- Require visual acuity for detail, distance, color, and depth perception.
- Maintain a clean record of arrests, charges, pleas or convictions for any misdemeanor or felony offense.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
Each employee is responsible for attending required training for their position or profession as determined by line of support or leadership. Supervisors and managers must ensure employees receive all required training.
