The Physical Therapist will effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate plans of care in compliance with all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices, the therapist will implement clinical interventions to aid patients in their recovery.
Responsibilities- Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all regulatory and clinically required information electronically.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluations.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members about patient progress and barriers to treatment.
- Write comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Document treatment minutes accurately per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Participate in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required; new graduates considered if they have Level II experience.
- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is required.
- Current Oklahoma State Physical Therapist License is required.
This position operates on an 8-hour day shift schedule.
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
