Physical Therapy Assistant

Provides rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to patients with physical functioning disorders. Focuses on implementing treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical health.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing evidence-based clinical interventions aligned with therapy plans.
• Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive devices as prescribed.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments.
• Document all treatments, patient responses, and clinical notes accurately in electronic records per regulatory standards.
• Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care and complete discharge summaries.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in administering rehabilitative procedures and documentation.
• Submit a skills checklist within 1 year of employment.
• Provide a current resume and at least one professional reference upon submission.
• New graduates considered if they have Level II clinical experience.
