We are currently looking for a Full Time Compensation Analyst I to join our Compensation A team located at the Carl Albert Service Center working.

Summary:

The Compensation Analyst will provide compensation analytical and administrative support and guidance for the Chickasaw Nation. This position provides job evaluations, compensation reviews, and generally sets base pay for positions throughout the organization. Will participate in various compensation projects that involve market pricing, job research, pay structure development and support of related functions. Will need excellent communication skills to interact with multi levels of organization customers.

Responsibilities:
Applies total rewards principles and labor market data, including all base and variable pay management tools. Studies current internal and external wage and salary data to build recommendations for compensation customers. Assists with the design and development of new compensation programs and modifications to existing programs. Participates/conducts in annual compensation salary surveys. May guide and assist internal customers in developing job descriptions for their areas.

Reviews job evaluation requests, validates materials received and gathers additional data needed for the job evaluation, evaluates (determining points, grade, structure, exemption status) and completes market pricing of non-manager roles with limited oversight and evaluates manager roles with general oversight based on sensitivity of role being evaluated. Assists in special compensation projects by conducting research, performing analysis, and preparing simple to complex level reports.

Communicates error findings with HR and lower-level management according to compensation guidelines and refers errors on higher level positions and exceptions to compensation management. May conduct job shadowing and interview workers and supervisory personnel to determine job and worker requirements. Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.

Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities. Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards. Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area. Ensures compliance with all documentation. Reviews employee and job workflows in the workflow system, communicates error findings with HR and lower-level management according to compensation guidelines, and refers errors on higher level positions and exceptions to compensation management. Adds new or revised data to the master data file following internal compensation guidelines and saves a copy of the HR View file daily.

Assist with monitoring the job repository for each new job description and all job revisions added to the job repository to ensure they have met all requirements as outlined in SOP's and policies. Participates in classifying jobs as exempt or non-exempt per the Chickasaw Nation Fair Labor Standards policy and procedures. Assists in the development of compensation communications, presentations and trainings.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Ability to perform intermediate mathematical concepts. Knowledge of compensation principles and practices. Basic project management skills, including communication, scope, and schedules. Establishes professional working relationships as appropriate. Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management. Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management.

Skills:

Basic Computer skills. Possesses and utilizes intermediate mathematics skills. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Experience:

3 years directly related experience.

Education:
